Partnerships for Forests: A Decade of Impact

The second phase of P4F builds on Palladium's successful decade-long journey (2015-2024), solidifying its position as a flagship program within their Nature-Based Capital and Climate practice. This phase aims to catalyze investment, support forest-dependent communities, protect tropical forests, and strengthen local economies across five major forest regions: East Africa, West Africa, Central Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia.

The Junior Professional Role: Your Gateway to Impact

As a Junior Professional, you'll be an integral part of the East Africa regional team, supporting the Investments in Forests and Sustainable Land Use (IFSLU) Programme, funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). Your role will span technical, administrative, and coordination tasks, primarily based in Nairobi, Kenya, with some flexibility for remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Development Support: Conduct research, participate in stakeholder meetings, draft project concepts, and ensure quality submissions.
  • Project Management Support: Monitor active projects, review reports, liaise with the Grants team, and capture lessons learned and impact stories.
  • Reporting, Coordination, and Administration: Prepare client and internal reports, maintain accurate records, and support progress tracking.

Candidate Profile:

  • Essential Requirements: Demonstrated interest or experience in international development, climate solutions, forestry, or land use. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Fluency in English and Swahili, with strong communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Adaptability, initiative, and a problem-solving mindset. Ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams. Legal right to work in Kenya without sponsorship.
  • Desirable Attributes: Experience with FCDO-funded or large-scale development programs. Academic background in Environmental Studies, Economics, Public Policy, or International Relations. Working proficiency in French.
