India's solar module manufacturing witnessed a remarkable surge, more than doubling to an impressive 144 gigawatts (GW) in 2025, as revealed by Union Minister Pralhad Joshi on January 6, 2026. In 2024, the capacity stood at 63 GW, indicating a substantial addition of 81 GW in the previous year.
